Reschedule, Cancellation & Lock-Out Policy
At Essential Pro Cleaning, we believe your time — and ours — is valuable. Our mission is to provide you with a consistent, high-quality cleaning experience while also making sure our hardworking cleaners have the stability they deserve. To achieve this, we’ve set clear guidelines around cancellations and reschedules.
Why this matters:
As a small cleaning company, we reserve your time slot exclusively for you. Since we don’t accept walk-in clients, last-minute cancellations directly impact our team’s schedules and income. Cancellation fees aren’t just company policy — they help compensate your cleaner for the time they set aside just for you. Protecting their schedules allows us to maintain a strong, reliable team and continue delivering the level of service our clients count on.
Cancellation & Reschedule Guidelines:
48-Hour Notice:
Cancellations or reschedules require at least 48 business hours’ notice (excluding weekends and holidays).
- Less than 48 hours’ notice: 50% service fee will be charged, based on your scheduled service rate.
- Same-day cancellations, denied access, or lock-outs: Full service fee will apply.
Skipped Service Charges for Recurring Clients:
To keep your home in great condition and your cleaning schedule consistent, skipped cleanings will result in the following charges, added to your next invoice:
- Weekly Service: +$10
- Bi-Weekly Service: +$15
- Monthly Service: +$35
* Monday Appointments: For Monday appointments, notice must be given by 9:00 AM on the prior Friday.
Reschedules:
If you need to move your appointment, we’re happy to work with you. To avoid fees, your new date should be scheduled within 5 business days of your original appointment. Reschedules beyond this window may be subject to a $10 fee for each week outside of your normal recurring schedule.
Additional Notes
- Cancellations include, but are not limited to:
- Denied access to the home
- Failed payments
- No running water or electricity
- No working A/C or heating
Please note that these fees do not apply in cases of acts of nature (such as storms, hurricanes, power outages, or other events beyond your control).
